Accounts Employees Association highlights demands

JAMMU, Jan 2: A general body meeting of J&K Accounts Employees Association was held, here today under the chairmanship of Kulwant Singh Sambyal, its president, to discuss long pending burning issues of Non-Gazetted Accounts personnel.
The Association demanded Assured Career Progression Scheme, creation of posts in every department, re-organization of the department and creation of welfare fund besides removal of Pay anomalies.
Other demands, highlighted in the meeting, included Departmental Exam on the pattern of Planning Department at NZATI, Jammu/Srinagar, implementation of SRO-160 of the Finance Department, number 1/89/2005/548, dated 10-05-2006, implementation of SRO-272 by GAD Establishment, change of designation from Accounts Assistant to Accountant and Accountant to Senior Accountant, enhancement of Accounts Assistant Grade Pay and repatriation of Corporation employees in Finance Department.
The Association appealed K K Sharma, Advisor to the Governor, to personally intervene into the matter and get the issue of Non-Gazetted Accounts employees addressed at the earliest.
