JAMMU, July 2: A delegation of the Accounts employees today called on Director General, Accounts & Treasurues Mahesh Dass Sharma here today and apprised him of the pending issues of the employees.
Led by Kulwant Singh Sambyal, president of Non-Gazetted J&K Accounts Employees Association, the members projected their burning issues before the DG A&T. The major issues are- implementation of SRO 272, SRO-160, change of designation of Accounts Assistants to Accountant, Accountant to Senior Accountant, conduct of departmental exams twice a year, relaxation of 18 months barrier in the exams for those Accounts employees who crossed 50 years of age, amendment in pay grade of newly appointed Accounts Assistants and repatriation of Corporation employees in accounts cadre.
The DG listened patiently and assured to solve their genuine issues at the earliest.
