Accounts employees demands immediate release of select list

JAMMU, July 14: J&K Accounts Employees Association has demanded immediate release of selection list of accounts assistants awaiting approval of the Finance Department, as the sub-ordinate offices and treasuries were facing acute shortage of the base level accounts personnel.
In a press release issued by the Association, its president, JS Charak, urged the Finance Minister to accord approval to the pending selection list so that the treasuries and other subordinate offices are equipped with the trained human resource to bring more effectiveness and efficiency in the functioning.
Charak also reiterated his demand for fixing the tenure of posting in frontier region of Ladakh and other inaccessible areas such as Gurez, Paddar, Marwah, Gool, Mahore to one year as a measure of morale boosting of the employees.
The association also demanded to review the transfer policy as certain posts, shown in sensitive category do not qualify for such categorization and remain unmanned.
Besides other demands, the Association also urged the authorities to fix seniority at the level of Junior Scale accounts officers in the ratio of one direct recruit and one service personnel.
