Accounts employees highlight burning issues

UDHAMPUR, Feb 24: J&K Accounts Employees Association held its delegate session here today under the presidentship of  Rattan Khajuria to discuss various burning issues in general and new system of Pay & Accounts Office in particular.
The session was largely attended by the Accounts personnel of district Udhampur and the members of the Central Body as well.
The meeting unanimously expressed its concern over the move to disband the Treasury functioning and switching over to the Pay & Accounts Office System and future career prospectus in the new system.
The president of the Central Body, J S Charak dealt at length on the demands and apprised the gathering about all the demands which among others include fixation of seniority in the ratio of 1:1 gazetted level, removal of disparity in the pay-scale of Assistant Accounts Officers, declaration of accounts service as technical, formulation of service rules for Assistant Programmers/Data Entry Operators, revision of pay scale of cashiers, conduct of refresher courses and updation of accounts manual/books, induction of accounts personnel in general services.
Rattan Khajuria, district president, exhorted the cadre members to remain united and gear themselves up for the coming election of the general body.
