JAMMU, Oct 3: J&K Accounts Employees Association today projected their burning issues and urged upon the higher authorities to resolve the same without any more delay.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of Kulwant Singh Sambyal, its president, the members discussed their pending issues. They demanded that about 100 Accounts Assistants who have completed their training be posted district wise, overstaying Relief Assistant/ Zonal officers be transferred back to their own department. They also demanded cadre review and declaration of this cadre as professional service.
They also demanded that SRO-272 be implemented as per other departments, PSC must hold Departmental exams twice a year as per old practice and change the designation of Accounts Assistants as Accountant and remove barrier of 18 months related to exam. They demanded holding of DPC in time.
The Association sought the intervention of Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu in this connection. They alleged that non-gazetted Accounts employees are being ignored. They warned to launch agitation if their issues were not solved
