JAMMU, Oct 14: J&K Accounts Employees Association executive body members in a meeting decided to submit a memorandum to Director Accounts and Treasuries, K K Gupta, highlighting long pending demands of the employees.
The demands discussed in the meeting to be brought before the Director pertained to Declaration of Accounts Cadre as Professional service; Cadre review and switch over of the pay and accounts system; Removal of Pay anomalies; Clearance of long pending issues lying pending with the authorities for quite a long time; Implementation of SRO 272 like other departments; Withdrawal of clarification ofm SRO160 of 2006; Creation of examination system of accounts personnel on the patern of Planning Department at NZATI Jammu/Srinagar; Barter of 18 months for appearing in next examination to be abolished especially for those who have crossed 50 years of age; Upgradation of posts of Accounts Assistant, Accountant Jammu/ Kashmir to status of Accountant and senior accountant; and full salary to employees undergoing training.
Various other demands were also discussed in the meeting.
