SAMBA, Nov 19: An accused reportedly escaped from the police custody in Bari Brahamana area here today.
Sources said Salam Deen alias Kaka of New Shastri Nagar, Bajbara, District Hoshiyarpur, Punjab, who was booked by Bari Brahamana Police on October 5, 2023 and arrested by Samba Police from Sarore area only five days back, escaped police custody around 12:30 am today.
Meanwhile, Bari Brahamana Police have launched a search operation by setting up special checkpoints to re-arrest the accused. However, till the press time, the accused was not arrested again.
