JAMMU, Jan 14: Police has arrested an accused involved in hit and run case. As per the case on January 1, 2023 an information was received at Police Station Miran Sahib that during the intervening foggy night of December 31, 2022 and January 1, 2023 a motorcycle coming from Kirpind and going towards Dhinday Kalan in rash and negligent manner hit another motorcycle coming from opposite side near Rattian and fled away.
The rider of motorcycle coming from opposite side Sahil Kumar son of Satpaul resident of Kirpind, R.S Pura got grievous injuries and was immediately shifted to GMC Jammu where doctors declared him brought dead.
A case in FIR No. 01/2023 U/S 279/304-A/IPC was registered and investigation started and a special team led by SHO Miran Sahib, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Singh and under the overall supervision of SP Hqrs Ramnish Gupta traced and arrested the accused Roshan Lal son of Tara Chand resident of Dhinday Kalan, R.S Pura along with Motorcycle involved in accident bearing registration No. JK02AP-7762. Further investigation of case was going on.
