Srinagar, May 6: A thief who had escaped from police custody at Kokernag in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has been re-arrested.
A police official said Manzoor Ahmad Tantray was lodged in police station Kokernag under FIR number 47/2016 under Sections 457 and 380 RPC. “On May 4, he escaped from police station Kokernag,” the official said.
Subsequently, the police launched manhunt to nab the accused and today he was re-arrested, the police official added.
