ACR Kargil visits Zanskar to assess ongoing Central Schemes, address various revenue-related issues

Kargil, July 29, 2024: Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kargil, Mohammad Sharief today visited Zanskar Sub-Division to oversee and assess the ongoing Central Schemes and address various revenue-related issues.

The visit began with a meeting held in the office chamber of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) under the chairmanship of SDM Zanskar, Romil Singh Donk. The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Zanskar, Mohammad Hassan, Naib Tehsildars, and representatives from NHIDCL and Forest Department.

During the meeting, many issues were thoroughly discussed, including government land allotments, NH-301 issues, construction of the Revenue Complex, and the progress of various ongoing central schemes.

ACR Kargil expressed gratitude on behalf of Deputy Commissioner Kargil to SDM Zanskar and the Revenue Officers and officials for timely completion of the national importance projects like SVAMITVA and NH-301 land acquisition and compensation cases. One of the significant outcomes of the meeting was the handing over of forest land measuring 110 kanals in lieu of the transmission line.

Following the initial meeting, ACR Kargil inspected the ongoing construction work of the Revenue complex. Tehsildar Zanskar requested ACR Kargil for early completion of the Revenue complex as presently the office is running from a single rented room of the Education Department.

The ACR Kargil assured to direct the concerned department for speed up the construction work and complete the complex as soon as possible on priority basis. Executive Engineer and JE PWD Zanskar also remained present on the spot.

Later, the officer conducted a subsequent meeting with Revenue officers and officials in the office chamber of Tehsildar Zanskar. This meeting was attended by Tehsildar Zanskar, Naib Tehsildars, and field staff.

During the meeting, Tehsildar Zanskar introduced the Revenue staff to ACR Kargil. In his address, ACR Kargil advised the officers and field staff to work with honesty and integrity.

He highlighted the achievements of Tehsil Zanskar in successfully completing tasks such as the Svamitva scheme and NH-301 projects, appreciating the timely completion of these projects despite staff shortages.

ACR Kargil also reviewed the staff positions and took note of the current staffing situation, acknowledging the request to address the staff shortage issue.

A presentation on the LLARMA project was given by ACR Kargil, highlighting the objectives and goals of the scheme. The visit concluded with ACR Kargil expressing his gratitude to all the officers and officials for their dedication and efforts, making the meetings and inspections successful.
