JAMMU, Nov 29: In a rare act of honesty, two constables of GRP today handed over a bag containing some valuable items to its owner.
The two constables of GRP namely Kuldeep Kumar and Mohammad Rashid deployed with Malwa Express for protection purpose found a hand bag containing some valuable items worth about Rs 45,000 and some important documents, which was left by some passenger.
The items in the said bag included mobile phone, Tab Smart, USB Stick-3G Reliance, wrist watch, etc.
The GRP men immediately informed SP Railways Jammu Suram Singh regarding the same, who deputed DySP GRP Lines, PK Mengi to trace whereabouts of the passenger to whom the bag belonged.
After hard efforts the passenger namely Vinay Kumar Upadhay, son of JP Upadhay of Bhopal, Madya Pradesh was traced and the bag was handed over to him.
The two jawans were rewarded by SP Railways Jammu, Suram Singh for this act of good policing and honesty.
