RAMBAN, July 29: Traffic Police of NHW Ramban while performing duties set an example of kindness and honesty by returning a bag full of cash and valuables to its rightful owner in the Digdole sector here.
HC Raj Mohd and HC Mansoor Ahmad, both Traffic cops of National Highway Ramban found a bag lying along roadside near Mini-Nest, Battery Chasma Digdole area.
When they opened the bag, they found that cash amounting to Rs. 30,000 and a gold bracelet with other valuables and 2 cheques of large amount in it.
After finding the bag both cops inquired about the unattended bag from the nearby persons but nobody claimed it.
They find a Katra hotel ticket inside the bag having some names and Katra Hotel contact numbers.
They called the hotel authorities which cleared that the person has checked out in the morning and they provided the contact number of the person to cops who had missed his bag in Mini-Nest.
After that cops called the owner of the bag to collect his bag and they handed over the bag to him along with cash and all other valuables.
The owner thanked both the cops for showing their kindness and honesty.
SSP Traffic, Rohit Baskotra has praised the cops for their honest approach.
