UDHAMPUR, Aug 28: District Administration has initiated action against 9 officials, who were found absent from duty during a routine check in Government offices and institutions.
Tehsildar Majalta Sourabh Sharma inspected a number of schools, offices and establishments wherein 9 officials were found on unauthorised absence from duty. These include Anita Sharma (Headmaster), Kiran Bala (Master), Sanjay Bharti (PEM), Narotama Kumari (Teacher), Sunil Kumar (Teacher), Raj Kumar, Ram Prasad (Jr Asstt), VIjay Kumar (Master) and Anjana Kumari (Teacher).
On receipt of report from Tehsildar Majalta, the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, has initiated proceedings against absentee officials and Assistant Commissioner Development has been asked to conduct an inquiry into unauthorised absence of such a large number of teachers.
Show cause notices have also been issued to the absentees for explaining their position and period of absenteeism has been treated as dies-non as per Civil Services Rules.
