JAMMU, Jan 7: Traffic Police City Jammu has initiated action against the vehicles using pressure horns.
“The initiative was started to reduce increasing noise levels in the City”, said Nisha Nathyal SSP Traffic City Jammu.
A Traffic Police party led by DTI Rakesh Kumar alongwith SO(T) ASI Abdul Razak conducted a surprise checking at Bakshi Nagar bridge and removed the pressure horns of some heavy vehicles and also challaned them.
The Apex Court has already banned the use of pressure horns near hospitals, schools and traffic signals, a Senior Traffic Police Official Said.
