JAMMU, Nov 1: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta today asserted that declaring the Roshni Scheme null and void and subsequently initiating time bound process for retrieving encroached land from illegal beneficiaries is BJP-led Government’s ‘surgical strike’ against the corrupt of J&K who usurped priceless chunks of UT land at dirt-cheap rates.
Calling the whole gamut involving transfer of ownership rights of UT Land to encroachers at throwaway prices under the ‘unconstitutional’ Roshni Scheme as part of bigger conspiracy to carry out ‘Land Jihad’ in J&K, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta alleged that this was systematically being executed in erstwhile State of J&K to change the demography which became apparent after thorough audit of the ‘visible changes’ were conducted by some activists and the party workers.
He accused NC, PDP and Congress leadership of inducing ‘slow poison’ of demographic change through the aforesaid ‘unethical’ Roshni Act for creating communal imbalance in regions of Jammu Province to satiate its vested interest. He said that BJP will fight tooth and nail to fail the nefarious design of NC for carrying out Land Jihad in J&K.
“The party will ensure that strict punitive action should be taken against delinquent irrespective of their standing or affiliations with elite”, he added.
The senior BJP leader expressed apprehension that it is quite possible that this well-knit plan may have been launched from across the border in connivance with Pak’s overt or covert supporters here, in an attempt to change the demography of the Jammu region as the process was going on under the nose of authorities in the erstwhile State for the past several years to accommodate people from a particular community by legalizing the illegal occupants of the land and making them the real owner. He however, reiterated that come what may, the Bharatiya Janata Party will never let this happen and the nationalistic contours of Jammu region will continue to haunt those who are involved in anti-national activities and want to establish their rein beyond Pir Panjal.
