SRINAGAR, Mar 18: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir RTI Movement (RTIM), Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat has alleged that many chemists in Kashmir are black-marketing face masks and hand sanitizers thereby putting the public to difficulties during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
In a statement Bhat said that people across J&K especially in Kashmir are complaining shortage of masks and hand sanitizers.
He claimed that in Srinagar, Budgam, Anantnag, Kupwara, Baramulla and many other towns masks, hand sanitizers and surgical gloves are being sold at exorbitant rates by many chemists.
Bhat appealed to the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P.K Pole to take a stern notice of this wrong doing.
He also requested Deputy Commissioners, SDMs, Tehsildars and Food and Drug Control Department officials to take the erring chemists to task for black-marketing masks and hand sanitizers which have been declared as essential commodities by the government in a recent order.
