ADC puts transfer order of 240 teachers on hold

KISHTWAR, Mar 11: Addit-ional Deputy Commissioner, who is also chairman of the enquiry committee framed to look into the allegation leveled against CEO Kishtwar has put the transfer order of 240 teachers on hold to avoid the chaos in the department.
As per official sources, CEO transferred 240 teachers and the teachers’ fraternity aggrieved of these arbitrary transfers in utter disregard and violation of the transfer policy staged protest in the DC Office here.
DC constituted a committee from aggrieved persons alleging large scale favoritism and corrupt practices in these transfers. Large numbers of recommendations were received from the committee which examined the allegation and also met the deputations.
The committee finds prime facia substantial disregard of the transfer policy and decided that till the enquiry is completed the impugned transfer order should be put on hold to avoid the chaos in the department when the session is on.
ADC directed that the transfer order be kept in abeyance till the completion of the enquiry and all the teachers under transfer will continue to perform their ditties at their original/previous place of posting till further orders.
