UDHAMPUR, Mar 31: To review the arrangements for the smooth conduct of ensuing Shri Chauntra Mata Annual Yatra from April 10, a meeting of concerned officers and Akhand Jyoti committee members was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commiss-ioner Angrez Singh Rana, here today.
Threadbare discussions were held on various arrangements like drinking water, power supply, security, first-aid, transport, repair of roads, repairs of bridal paths, sanitation at the Shrine site and en-route etc.
The ADC directed the concerned officers to put in their best coordinated efforts for the smooth and successful conduct of yatra. Police authorities were directed to ensure proper security arrangements at the shrine and enroute, he added.
He also asked the officers of PWD and PMGSY to initiate necessary repair of concerned roads for the pilgrimage.
During the meeting, the CMO was directed to deploy ambulances and medical staff along with required medicines while PHE department was instructed to provide safe drinking water besides, PDD Department will provide uninterrupted power supply and one Gen set at the shrine.
Specific instructions were given to the ARTO for fixing the fare and carriage charges of passenger and commercial vehicles on all the routes to holy shrine. BDO Parlidhar and BDO Khoon were directed to repair the bridal paths Kirmoo – Shapree and Matta – Dhawreh respectively, leading to the shrine.
