ADC reviews Navratra arrangements

JAMMU, Sept  23: In order to review the arrangements being made by the civil administration for ensuing Navratras, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, K.S. Parihar at Bahu Fort here today.
Senior officers of various departments besides members of management committee of temple attended the meeting.
Issues regarding water and power supply, security, barricading, healthcare, traffic, repair of roads, illumination, and decoration were discussed in the meeting.
ADC issued specific instructions to all the concerned departments to ensure that all the elaborate arrangements be made well in time to facilitate the devotees during Navratras.
He directed PHE and PDD to ensure regular supply of water and power besides police and traffic authorities have been asked to put in place adequate security and traffic arrangements.
Health Department was asked to ensure necessary medicare and deploy team of doctors and para-medical staff with sufficient number of ambulances. The PWD (R&B) was asked to arrange barricading and repair damaged roads for the convenience of devotees.  Jammu Municipal Corporation was directed to ensure cleanliness in and around the Bawe Wali Mata temple besides other prominent temples of Jammu city.
The Floriculture Department was asked to decorate main gate (Deodi) at Bawe Wali Mata Temple and Bagh-e-Bahu garden to give festive look to the area and also regulate/fix the rate of flowers so that the devotees do not overcharged during the Navratras.
The members of temple committee raised various other issues to which the ADC assured them all support.
