UDHAMPUR, June 3: Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia chaired a meeting to discuss the establishment of a Drug De-addiction Center in District Udhampur by the District Red Cross Society under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR).
District Social Welfare Officer, Kanika Gupta; Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Tehsildar Udhampur and Medical Superintendent GMC Udhampur attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding the setup for the Drug De-addiction Center which included infrastructure requirements, necessary facilities, and logistical arrangements to ensure the center’s effective operation.
During the meeting, the Tehsildar Udhampur was tasked with identifying suitable accommodation for establishment of the center. ADC emphasized the importance of coordinating with NGOs to ensure the smooth functioning of the Drug De-addiction Center.
