JAMMU, Aug 21: 2nd Additional District Judge Jammu C L Bavoria has stayed till next date of hearing the order passed by Sub-Registrar Jammu whereby operation of re-registration certificate of Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha was kept in abeyance.
The order of Sub-Registrar Jammu was challenged before the higher court by Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha, which submitted before the 2nd Additional District Judge that after the abrogation of Article 370 the Registrar Societies, Government of J&K UT issued a general notification for the registration of societies (existing and new).
Accordingly, Sanstha applied for re-registration in 2021 and finally it was registered by the Registrar Societies vide registration dated January 21, 2024. However, one Raj Kumar filed a civil suit before Sub-Registrar Jammu, who kept the operation of re-registration certificate in abeyance.
After hearing counsel for Sanstha, the 2nd Additional District Judge issued notice to the respondent-non applicant, sought record from the court below and in the meanwhile stayed the operation of impugned order passed by Sub-Registrar Jammu till next date of hearing.
