Address demands of employees: NMC

JAMMU, Nov 25: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has expressed concern over the continuance of pay anomalies of clerical staff in the State and urged the Government to address demands of the affected employees without further delay.
Addressing a rally of NMC activists, Subash Shastri said that demands of the clerical cadre of the Government should be redressed to the satisfaction of the cadre.
Referring to the need for setting up 7th Pay Commission in view of DA already touching 72 per cent of basic pay/ pension, Shastri stressed that announcement to this effect be made in the Parliament during winter session.
He highlighted demands including release of pending due of motivators in IWDP (Akhnoor) besides their regularization, issuance of regularization orders of 180 daily wagers working in RDD, enhancement of medical allowances from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month and other demands.
Among others present were Rajan Babu Khajuria, Rakesh Padha, Ashok Khajuria, Anil Singh Slathia, Sham Lal Sharma, Sukhdev Singh, Ram Lal Sharma, etc.
