SRINAGAR: Taking note of reports that Amaranth pilgrims are being over-charged on their return from Baltal and Srinagar to Jammu, the Government said adequate arrangements have been made for transportation of the pilgrims.
An official spokesperson said the arrangements have been made by the J&K State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) as well as the private buses on the rates approved by the State Government. Asserting that the adequate number of J&K SRTC buses are available at the SRTC yard at Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) Srinagar, he advised them to avail this facility as the movement of these buses is being regulated in coordination with the J&K State Road Transport Corporation, Tourism Department and Motor Vehicle Department.
He also said adequate number of vehicles is available at the Baltal base camp. He said the representatives of the aforesaid departments have been stationed on 24×7 at TRC Srinagar and can be reached on telephone numbers 0194-2502512 and 0194-2506686. (AGENCIES)
