ADGP calls for strengthening police-public relations

Jammu, Feb 25: A programme was organized by Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) Talwara- Reasi with the motive to strengthen the police – public relations today.
On the occasion Navin Aggarwal, ADGP (Trainings)-PHQ-J&K Jammu was the chief guest. Mohd. Jahangir Khan, Principal- STC Talwara welcomed the chief guest, other civil/police officers, staff/students of different schools of Zone Pouni and large number of prominent citizens.
The chief guest while speaking on the occasion said that for strengthening the police-public Relations and bring the people nearer to the Police for better output, such programmes are being organized throughout the State by the J&K Police and further advised the students to work hard in their studies and also participate in the sports activities to keep themselves physically fit and mentally sound.
The chief guest accompanied by Principal- STC Talwara distributes the Sports Kits (viz Cricket, Volley Ball, Foot Ball and Badminton) among the poor students of Govt. High School Nagar, Govt. High School Kheral, Govt. Middle School Kheral and Govt. Middle School Malair, Zone Pouni of District Reasi and refreshment was also distributed among all the students, participants and the guests.
The function was also attended by SSP Reasi, Commandant IRP-1st Bn. Chief Education Officer Reasi, District Officer, Youth Services & Sports Reasi, Zonal Education Officer, Pouni, Headmasters/ Teachers of the concerned schools, Sarpanches/ Panches and large number of prominent citizens of the concerned area.
The Chief Education Officer Reasi, Zonal Education Officer, Pouni, Headmasters/ Teachers of concerned schools expressed their gratitude for organizing such programmes for the welfare of the poor students of Govt. Schools and expect that similar programmes shall be organized by the Police Department in future also.
