JAMMU, Dec 10: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) CID, Nitish Kumar, attended the valedictory function of the “Fast Food Stall Udyami” training program at the Police Drug De-addiction Center.
The program, designed to rehabilitate and empower recovering individuals, focused on providing practical skills in fast food preparation and small business management.
The ADGP CID emphasized the importance of vocational training in the rehabilitation process and expressed confidence that the inmates would utilize the acquired skills to lead productive lives. He also urged them to stay away from drugs and to contribute positively to society.
Nitish Kumar also inaugurated a state-of-the-art Patient Management & Information System (MIS) at the Police Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre, Jammu. The MIS is designed to streamline the Centre’s operations, enhance data management, and facilitate effective monitoring of patient progress.
Key features of the system include patient record management that oversees comprehensive tracking of patient information, including medical history, treatment plans and progress reports; inventory management for efficient management of medical supplies and equipment and real-time tracking of patient activities and progress through a user-friendly dashboard.
Speaking at the launch event, the ADGP CID highlighted the importance of using technology to address social issues such as drug addiction. “This MIS is a step forward in our mission to provide comprehensive and efficient care to individuals battling addiction. It reflects our commitment to leveraging technology for better governance and public welfare,” he remarked.
The launch event included a demonstration of the MIS capabilities, followed by an interaction session where the ADGP CID praised the center’s team for their dedication and urged continued efforts towards creating a healthier society.
