ADGP conducts Darbar of IRP-7th Battalion

JAMMU, Nov 22: ADGP SJM Gillani conducted Darbar of IRP-7th Battalion at Amb Gharota with an aim to take stock of the functioning and welfare of jawans of the Unit, here today.
The Unit Commandant, MS Chauhan joined by Deputy Commandant Kulwant Singh and Adjutant Farooq Qaiser accorded warm welcome and presented a bouquet to the ADGP and his staff officer, Mahmood Ahmad-JKPS SSP.
Initially, the ADGP took the salute of the smartly attire quarter guard of the Unit, followed by inspection of the Unit premises. Thereafter the ADGP inaugurated a blood donation camp, organized by IRP Battalion in collaboration with Sub-District Hospital Kot-Balwal, wherein the ADGP was the first person who donated blood in the camp, followed by officers and officials of the Unit donated blood.
The ADGP was accompanied by his staff officers including Mahmood Ahmed, SSP APCR Jammu, Shahzad Salaria- DDP APHQ, Mohammad Shafi Rather, Private Secretary to ADGP Armed, Syed Sajad Hussain, DySP (Pers) APHQ, Ab Hamid Dar, PA to ADGP Armed, Ab Rashid and In-charge R&D APHQ Krishan Saroop Rathore.
While addressing the officers and jawans on the occasion, the ADGP appreciated the efforts of officers and jawans of the battalion for performing their assigned duties excellently. He highlighted various welfare measures initiated by the PHQ/ Government for J&K Police.
The ADGP also advised the supervisory officers at all levels to patiently address the grievances of the subordinates who so ever approaches them for redressal of their grievances.
While paying tribute to the DySP Ajay Sharma of IRP-1st Bn who left for heavenly abode today due to COVID complications, the ADGP appealed to all the officers and jawans to strictly adopt COVID appropriate behaviour and also explain its relevance to their near and dear ones.
During the Darbar, the officers and jawans put forth several personal as well as collective problems as well as issues before the ADGP. The ADGP patiently listened to their grievances and assured them that their genuine problems shall be redressed on merit basis, while some grievances were redressed on-spot.
