JAMMU, Oct 15: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu zone, Anand Jain, today honoured two police officers for their exceptional efforts in investigation, resulting in conviction of the accused.
As per a statement, Inspector Amit Sangra, then SHO Hiranagar and Inspector Sushil Sharma, then SHO Billawar have been presented with a Commendation Certificate Class-I and cash reward for their exemplary performance as investigators.
It said Inspector Amit Sangra has been recognised for his outstanding investigation efforts in case FIR number 17/2017 under section 302 of RPC registered at Police Station Hiranagar, which resulted in grant of life imprisonment to the accused by the court besides imposition of a fine of Rs 10000 on him on December 5, 2022.
Similarly, Inspector Sushil Sharma has been honoured for his exceptional investigation efforts in case FIR number 101/2016 registered under section 302 of RPC at Police Station Billawar, which resulted in conviction of the accused to life imprisonment on March 16, 2023.
The ADGP Jammu, Anand Jain, lauded both the officers for their relentless efforts in combating the heinous crimes and securing convictions effectively.
