JAMMU, Aug 10: Anand Jain, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, visited the Commando Training Centre (CTC) in Sunjwan today to inaugurate a 21-day Commando Tactics Course.
A statement said that this course aimed at enhancing the operational skills of police personnel through intensive training in jungle warfare and advanced commando tactics.
Accompanied by DIG JKS Range Sunil Gupta, DIG Trainings Sarah Rizvi, and SO to ADGP Jammu Vishal Manhas, ADGP Jain was welcomed by CTC senior officers, including CO IR 14th Bn SSP Abrar Choudhary, Deputy CO IR 14 Battalion Sanjay Sharma, and the 14th Bn officer team.
During his visit, ADGP Jain inspected the facilities and engaged with trainees, underlining the course’s importance in counter-insurgency and anti-terror operations.
In his inaugural address, ADGP Jain commended the commitment of the CTC staff and trainers and praised the high quality of the training.
He encouraged trainees to fully leverage the course to enhance their skills and tactical knowledge, emphasizing the critical role of mental and physical fitness in achieving successful outcomes.
Jain also awarded cash prizes of Rs 5,000 and Commendation Certificates Class-I to five Drill Instructors at CTC Sunjwan, acknowledging their exceptional contributions and dedication.
He expressed confidence that the course would significantly improve the trainees’ ability to handle complex counter-terrorism challenges effectively.
