SAMBA, Jan 9: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, today conducted a comprehensive inspection of Vijaypur and Ramgarh police stations in Samba District.
Accompanied by DIG JKS Range Shakti Pathak, and SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, the ADGP Jammu focused on various critical aspects of police stations’ operations. These included the functioning of the Woman Help Desk, the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS), reporting systems, accommodations for jawans, and an in-depth analysis of crime statistics.
Jain meticulously scrutinized the operations of the Woman Help Desk, acknowledging its vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for women seeking assistance.
He commended the personnel for their efforts, stressing the importance of maintaining a sensitive and responsive approach towards addressing the concerns of women in distress.
The inspection also involved a detailed evaluation of the implementation and effectiveness of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS). ADGP emphasized the significance of leveraging technology to enhance crime tracking and data management, ensuring any identified areas for improvement are promptly addressed.
The living conditions and facilities provided to the backbone of law enforcement, the jawans, were a key focus of the inspection. ADGP Anand Jain, assessed the accommodations, recognizing the importance of a conducive and secure environment for the well-being of those dedicated to ensuring public safety.
Thoroughly reviewing crime statistics, the inspection underscored the Police force’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and service.
Additionally, ADGP Jammu Zone inspected the SDPO Office Vijaypur to ensure overall efficiency, adherence to protocols, and speedy redressal of public grievances.
He directed prompt Police action in case of any untoward incident or emergency, emphasizing officers’ accountability for deployment and operations in their respective areas of responsibility.
