JAMMU, Nov 5: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, along with senior officers, bid farewell to Major General Upkar Chander, the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Delta Force, at the Zonal Police Headquarters in Jammu.
During the ceremony, ADGP Jain praised Major General Upkar’s exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to peace and security in the Jammu region.
He acknowledged the crucial role played by the outgoing GOC, particularly in counter-terrorism efforts and maintaining stability amidst the challenges posed by terrorism.
Jain highlighted the close collaboration between the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army under Major General Upkar’s guidance, which has led to significant achievements in counter-terrorism operations and public safety initiatives.
Expressing his gratitude, Major General Chander thanked the officers and personnel for their support and cooperation during his tenure.
He emphasized the importance of continued teamwork between the Army and police forces in addressing security challenges.
He also commended the dedication and hard work of the personnel on- the-ground who contribute tirelessly to the safety of the region.
As Major General Upkar Chander moves on to his next assignment, ADGP Jain extended his best wishes for future success, expressing confidence that his leadership will continue to positively impact the security forces and the nation.
