JAMMU, Nov 24: In a surprise visit today, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu zone, Anand Jain, along with Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu, Joginder Singh, reviewed the operations at Police Station Bishnah.
The ADGP was greeted by SP Headquarters Jammu, Irshad Hussain Rather, SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna, and SHO Bishnah, Sushil Choudhary.
During the visit, he reviewed the functioning of the police station, specifically the Munshiyaat (office records) and the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS).
ADGP Jain emphasized the need for regular inspections, proper maintenance of police records, and cleanliness within the station premises.
He directed the officers to ensure that all police registers, including the NCR (Non-Cognizable Report) register, are updated regularly.
The ADGP also inspected various official records, including registers and patrol books, to assess their upkeep.
He stressed the importance of maintaining transparency, accountability, and accuracy in all processes.
Additionally, Jain visited the staff quarters to assess the living conditions of officers and encouraged the timely resolution of any welfare issues.
He commended the police personnel for their dedication and urged them to continue their efforts in maintaining law and order.
The ADGP also highlighted the importance of community-oriented policing in building public trust and cooperation.
The visit ended with the ADGP directing the implementation of measures to improve the overall functioning of the station, particularly in maintaining and updating police records.
