JAMMU, July 7: Anand Jain, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, today flagged off the Bharat Darshan tour for 72 students of District Reasi from Gulshan Ground here.
Under the tour organized under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) by the Zonal Police Headquarters, the students, accompanied by two caretakers, will embark on a five-day journey starting from July 7th, 2024.
Their first stop will be Delhi, followed by Mumbai, both reached via air travel.
The tour is designed to expose these young minds to India’s rich cultural heritage and development, fostering a sense of national pride and broadening their horizons.
During the flag-off ceremony, ADGP Anand Jain highlighted the importance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between the police and the community, especially engaging the youth constructively.
He expressed confidence that this journey will leave the students with cherished memories and knowledge that will inspire them to positively contribute to society.
The itinerary includes visits to historical landmarks, educational institutions and cultural hubs in Delhi and Mumbai, promising a comprehensive learning experience.
At the flagging off event, other dignitaries like DIG JSK Range Dr Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu Vinod Kumar, and S O to ADGP Jammu Zone Vishal Manhas interacted with the students, assuring them of their safety and encouraging them to make the most of this opportunity.
The Civic Action Programme has played a pivotal role in strengthening the bond between the police and the community.
