JAMMU, June 24: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, flagged off the Bharat Darshan Tour for 69 students from Udhampur at Gulshan Ground, Jammu, today.
Organized by the Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu, under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), the tour aims to broaden the horizons of young minds and foster national pride.
The students, accompanied by two caretakers from Udhampur, will travel from Jammu to Delhi, and then from Delhi to Chennai by air. The tour is scheduled from June 24 to June 29, 2024.
At the flag-off ceremony, Anand Jain highlighted the significance of such tours in providing valuable experiences and insights into India’s diverse cultural and historical heritage.
He expressed hope that the journey would instil a sense of unity among the students.
The Civic Action Programme aims to bridge the gap between the police and the public by engaging youth in constructive activities.
“This tour promises an educational and memorable experience, offering participants a unique opportunity to explore the nation’s rich cultural tapestry,” said ADGP Jammu Zone.
