JAMMU, Jan 8: The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, today felicitated the police personnel who performed exceptionally well in the prestigious anti-extremist tactics course held at the Greyhounds Regional Training Center in Vishakhapatnam.
A statement said that the specialized training focused on counter-extremism techniques, including combat skills, intelligence gathering and tactical operations.
On the occasion, ADGP Anand Jain, along with Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG JSK Range, commended the top performers of the course.
The awardees included Constable Mohammad Amin from the 1st Border Battalion, who was recognized as the all round best, Constable Arun Sharma from the 1st Border Battalion, who secured the second position, Constable Parmeshwar Singh from the JKAP 14th Battalion, who ranked third, Constable Ajaz Ahmed from the IRP 14th Battalion, who was awarded best marksman, and Constable Akshay Heer from the 1st Border Battalion, who was recognized as the Best Runner.
During the felicitation ceremony, ADGP Jain emphasized the importance of continuous training for maintaining law and order and addressing security challenges like terrorism.
He encouraged all police personnel to strive for excellence and apply their newly learned skills to tackle emerging security threats in the region.
