JAMMU, Oct 26: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain today attended the closing ceremony of an intensive joint training exercise involving the Indian Army’s 1 Para Special Forces and 13 personnel from the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) at the Sunjwan military base.
The month-long program focused on enhancing the operational capabilities of both forces and fostering greater synergy for security operations in the region.
Addressing the assembled commandos, ADGP Jain commended their dedication, professionalism, and collaborative efforts throughout the training.
He emphasized the critical role such joint exercises play in building a shared skill set, highlighting that the range of tactical and operational competencies acquired during this program would serve both the Army and JKP in maintaining law and order effectively.
The ADGP noted that with escalating security demands, the joint training significantly strengthens the response capabilities of both the Army and JKP.
He expressed confidence that this training will prove instrumental in bolstering security across Jammu and Kashmir, further enhancing the forces’ ability to counter challenges to regional stability.
Jain reiterated the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s commitment to partnering closely with the Army and other security agencies, emphasizing a united front to ensure peace and security in the region.
