POONCH, Mar 4: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, today chaired a meeting here to review the crime situation and security preparedness in the district in view of the approaching Lok Sabha elections.
A statement said that the meeting discussed strategies for enhancing security measures and tackling potential challenges in the border town. The discussions focussed on assessing the current trends in the terrorist movement, identifying the areas of concern, and formulating effective action plans to address them.
The ADGP emphasized the importance of proactive measures to maintain law and order in the town, especially in the run-up to the upcoming elections.
The police officers directed his subordinate staff to ensure that vigilance is maintained, fostering community engagement, and leveraging technological advancement to combat any potential terror attack threats effectively.
The ADGP also inspected the election preparedness measures undertaken by the District Administration. He assessed the deployment of security personnel, logistics arrangements, and other aspects to ensure smooth conduct of the electoral process.
Later, ADGP Jammu also visited Police Post Behramgalla and interacted with the jawans.
