ADGP Railways reviews security ahead of R-Day

JAMMU, Jan 11: The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Railways, Sunil Kumar, chaired a meeting today to review security arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day-2024 and other significant religious festivals.
The meeting was attended by Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP Railway Jammu, Albeena Malik, SDPO Railway Jammu, Naresh Kumar, DySP GRP Jammu, and other officers.
A press statement said that the meeting aimed to strengthen the overall security setup at Railway Station Jammu and all other railway stations falling under the jurisdiction of Jammu and Vijaypur GRP sub-divisions.
During the meeting, the ADGP Railways, Jammu, directed all the officers to brief the deployed personnel on the ground to remain extra vigilant in order to thwart any nefarious designs of anti-national and anti-social elements, given the current challenging security scenario.
Additionally, they were instructed to closely monitor railway platforms, tracks, parking areas, drone activities and be prepared for Fidayeen attacks.
The officers were also directed to maintain close coordination with RPF and other security agencies.
