ADGP reviews crime, law & order situation of Samba

JAMMU, Feb 10: To review law and order situation in Samba District, Additional Director General of Police, Jammu Zone, Anand Jain today paid a visit there and held a meeting, which was attended by Additional SP Samba, SDPO Mukand Tibrewal, all Supervisory Officers, SHOs and Incharge Police Posts of district Samba.
At the outset of the meeting, SSP Samba Vinay Kumar presented the crime data in PPT for review by the chairing officer.
The ADGP Jammu laid emphasis on heinous crime cases, thefts and burglary cases and directions were issued to work out these cases on priority.
Threadbare discussion was made in NDPS cases and the investigating officers were directed to work out backward & forward linkage to expose the narco-nexus and to increase conviction in these cases. Cases registered under UAPA were also reviewed and necessary directions were issued for their disposal.
Bovine smuggling cases and preventive measures were discussed in length during the meeting. All the Supervisory Officers/SHOs/IC PPs were directed to launch a special drive for the arrest of absconders and tracing out of missing persons. Directions were issued to dispose-off pending inquest proceedings on merits.
He directed all supervisory officers to conduct regular crime meetings with the investigating officers to make flawless investigation of the cases and to bring these cases to their logical conclusion.
ADGP Jammu inspected the Cyber Cell and NAFIS lab recently established in DPO Samba to assess their functioning and also visited CCTNS labs of SSP Samba, Addl. SP Samba and DySP Hqrs Samba, all established in DPO Samba and enquired about working of these labs.
Later, he also paid a visit to Police Station Samba and reviewed the working of Roznamcha, CCTNS lab, Malkhana and Women Cell Samba.
