JAMMU, Jan 23: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Railways, J&K, Sunil Kumar today chaired a high-profile meeting and emphasized the importance of conducting anti-sabotage checks at Railway Stations, tracks, and surrounding areas across the UT.
The meeting among other officers was attended by Mohan Lal Kaith, SSP Railways Jammu, who is holding the additional charge of SSP GRP Katra.
During the meeting conducted in view of the upcoming Republic Day celebrations in Jammu, the ADGP Railways, J&K, Sunil Kumar interacted with SDPOs, SHOs, and incharge Police Posts of GRP, and focussed on security assessment by obtaining essential feedback from the ground.
The ADGP Railways emphasized the critical need for anti-sabotage checks at Railway Stations, tracks and surrounding areas, utilizing advanced security gadgets and sniffer dogs.
He urged officers to enhance the efficiency and strength of communication networks for the swift dissemination of crucial information.
The primary agenda centered on fortifying the overall security infrastructure of Railway Stations and tracks in Jammu and Katra. He directed officers to maintain vigilant stance against potential threats, particularly those related to anti-national elements/anti-social elements, based on intelligence inputs generated from sister agencies.
In his concluding remarks, the ADGP Railways J&K stressed the importance of close coordination with sister intelligence agencies, RPF/PMF, and District Police to prevent any untoward incidents.
