ADKUF discusses problems of displaced Pandits

JAMMU, Dec 1: All Displaced Kashmiri United Front (ADKUF) in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its president, P L Sudeshi has demanded issuance of voter identity cards to eligible voters of the community. In this regard an appeal was made to Election Commission.
The meeting also demanded creation of constituencies both Assembly and Parliament in exile for displaced Pandits till they are rehabilitated in Kashmir and names of eligible voters be included in local voter lists so that the civic and other problems are redressed by elected representatives.
Forum alleged that Government seems non serious about the rehabilitation of displaced Pandits and process in this regard has been shelved. It demanded that the community be rehabilitated at a single place in Valley on priority basis. The Forum also demanded removal of all encroachments from migrant property and action be taken against the land grabbers. The Forum also appointed Satish Kissu as vice president. Besides, president chief advisor , Prof G L Koul, president Women Wing, Phoola Koul, generals secretary, P N Raina , B N Bhat, C L Zuthsi, M L Koul, N N Dhar, Balji and P L Razdan also spoke in the meeting.
