ADKUF discusses problems of displaced Panditsc

JAMMU, Nov 1: All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of D N Kissu while discussing various issues being faced by displaced Pandits resolved that Forum will strive hard for the complete unity in the community.
Addressing the meeting Mr Kissu said that unity in the community is need of the hour to face all the future challenges and launching of a protracted struggle for the community cause.
He said it has become evident that both Centre and State Governments are not interested in the rehabilitation of the displaced Pandits and the proposal in this regard has been put into a back burner. He said the 26 years is not a less time for preparing a road map in this regard and it appears that no home work ahs been done till date.
P N Raina general secretary of that Forum demanded immediate passage of Kashsmiri Hindu Shrines and Temples Bill while P L Sudeshi president of the Forum demanded grant of IDP status to KPs as they have been forced out from Valley under well orchestrated plan.
Prof G L Koul chief advisor of the Forum demanded that a commission of inquiry headed by a Supreme Court judge be framed to fix the responsibility and inquire into the conditions created for the ethnic cleansing of Pandits. The meeting said that Pandits have continuously been deprived of their representation in Government which reflects the callous attitude of the successive Governments towards the community.
The meting reiterated that the settlement of KPs is a political issue which can only be addressed by meeting geo -political aspirations of the community in the form of settling them at a single place with free flow of Indian Constitution.
