ADKUF for unity among all KP organisations

JAMMU, May 16: Pursuing unity among displaced community to bring it under one roof All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) held a meeting under the leadership of its president PL Sudeshi wherein leaders of some representative bodies, welfare committees and prominent personalities of displaced community participated.
It condemned the vandalizing of Swami Lakshman Joo Ashram, Ishbar Nishat by anti-social elements who often raise their ugly heads. It is unfortunate that the local administration has failed to maintain its sanctity the Ashram sacred to Hindus world over, such actions deeply hurt the sentiments of devotees and refresh the wounds of forcible exodus.
Speakers offered their full support to unity move started by ADKUF and stressed not to leave the mission unfinished nor get discouraged by false propaganda unleashed by vested interests.
BL Bhat former MLC said that framing an Apex Committee is need of the hour the move was supported by Ashok Koul and Chand Ji from Nagrota camp who said that Government should not hide its negligence towards the displaced community under the pretext of a number of representative committees.
Prof AN Sadhu speaking at length advised that the Apex Committee should represent people from all shades of life there is a need that the policy dimensions of such Committee should be framed disunity among the displaced community is a false propaganda and a hoax. He added that youth having new and modern ideas need to be involved.
PN Raina general secretary of ADKUF said that the Government has forgotten the rehabilitation programme altogether and there is no roadmap on the return policy of pandits. Increased in influx of tourists does not support the Government claim of normalcy whereas militancy related incidents in Rajouri and Poonch and increase in drugs trafficking is serious cause of concern.
Among others who spoke in meeting were Shiban Khaibri, Pran Nath Pandit, Ashok Kangan, Com Mohan Lal Raina, Nana Ji Sathu, MK Koul, KK Tiku, Satish Raina and Shadi Lal Bhat Prof GL Koul Advisor presented vote of thanks and PK Raina conducted the proceedings.
