ADKUF holds conference, sets unity move in motion

JAMMU, July 25: To forward the mission of bringing the displaced community under one umbrella, a conference was held by All Displaced Kashmiri United Front (ADKUF) here, today.
From Delhi a team lead by AK Koul in-charge Delhi Unit advisor also participated besides representatives of various KP bodies and prominent people of community from Jammu. The conference Started with Sharda vandana by Desha Bhat and her team.
A team of 33 members was framed comprising people from various spheres of influence. The team will serve as a platform for dialogue and formulation of comprehensive strategies to ensure the rehabilitation, empowerment and social integration of the community. Participants extended their support to the unity move of ADKUF by signing an oath document. A resolution in favouring unity move was also passed.
Pyare Lal Raina an educationist advised to follow rich traditions of Sanatan Dharma and explained how Vedas teach us about the power of unity he reminded that the destruction of Hindus places of worship started much before mass exodus of Pandits.
Retired District and Sessions Judge, BL Saraf while supporting the move said that the community stands united. “Our priorities may vary but the demands are same’’. He advised that the Committee be widened.
KK Khosa, president KP Sabha said that Sabha has and will always support the unity move for which his organisation has been working for decades.
Prominent journalist, MK Bangroo also stressed to elevate the team to world class level by increasing membership involving KP youth and representatives from other states and KP diaspora.
PL Sudeshi president, ADKUF appealed not let this historic event go waste and uphold the unity by thoughts and deeds for the safe secure and bright future of coming generations. Prof AN Sadhu famous economist and KP leader who presided the function said that the Coordination Committee should formulate a roadmap and an action plan revealing feasible solution of all short and long term demands. He also advised to think about economic temples and strengthen economic institutions to make the community independent of economic necessities.
PN Raina general secretary of ADKUF welcomed the guests and dignitaries. Prof GL Koul chief advisor of Forum presented the vote of thanks. PK Raina poet and Radio announcer conducted the proceedings.
