ADKUF’s concern over encroachment of temples, shrines land

JAMMU, July 23: All Displaced KP United Forum (ADKUF) in a meeting here today held under the chairmanship of D N Kissu expressed grave concern over the encroachment of the land of shrines and temples by mafia groups in Kashmir valley and demanded that the same be restored at an earliest.
The meeting also stressed immediate passage of Shrines and Temples Bill lying with Select Committee of State Assembly. It demanded free medical aid to those migrants who are suffering from life consuming diseases with allotment of accommodation to them at Jagti.
Mr Kissu while stressing unity in the community said that Forum will convene a joint session of all organizations to discuss the issue threadbare.
It also expressed grave concern over the plight of Jagti camp inmates who are facing power crisis in this hot and humid temperature and the Government has failed to redress the problem.
The meeting alleged that the Government has failed to change the status of one room tenements at Purkhoo which were to be renovated and remodeled as TRTs for accommodating the migrants putting up in rented accommodations.
The meeting among others was addressed by Prof G L Koul chief advisor of the Forum, C L Zutshi and M L Koul.
