DODA, Apr 6: Additional District Magistrate Doda (ADC), Kishori Lal Sharma along with Tehsildar Doda Shabir Ahmed Malik while on inspection of Doda-Jodhpur Road found two JCB machines and one dumper engaged in mining illegally near Jodhpur nallah.
The drivers of the JCBs and dumper failed to produce any valid permission, therefore the papers of two JCBs and one dumper were seized on the spot by ADM Doda.
It is pertinent to mention here that District Administration is continuously receiving complaints from locals of illegal mining by mining mafia.
ADM has appealed to the people of Doda not to extract illegally and follow the law of the land. Illegal mining disturb the ecological balance of the area and is likely to life of the area, ADM added.
