POONCH, Aug 3: Tehsil Administration led by Tehsildar Haveli, Anjum Khan along with Naib Tehsildar Chandak, Afzal and Tehsildar Gulpur, Rashid Chowhan took up an extensive drive against illegal mining of miner minerals in the river bed area in Shein Dara sector today.
The operation was carried out under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav. Tehsildar Khan while talking to media said that numerous complaints were received regarding the extraction of minerals from river and taking strong note of that special squads were moved into action so as to book the violators.
Meanwhile, the special squads also conducted surprise checking of vehicles in Khanetar area of Poonch and a fine of Rs 91000 was realised from the violators during drive.
