POONCH, June 29: An advanced Laparoscopic surgery of a patient suffering from Achlasia Cardia was performed by the team of doctors in Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch.
Official sources said that a person from border area of Degwar in Poonch namely, Mohd Shabir was suffering from Achlasia Cardia desease. He went for treatment to Jammu where he was suggested to go to Delhi for advanced Laproscopic Surgery which costs lakhs of rupees.
The patient came back to Poonch and met Surgeon Dr Manav Dutta at DH Poonch who assured him to do the surgery at District Hospital,Poonch, A team of doctors did the successful surgery of 4 long hours free of cost and medicines were also provided to him.
Pertinent to mention that Achlasia Cardia is a disease in which food pipe of patient gets block at the bottom end he/ she can’t eat anything. Same was in the case of this patient as he was on liquid diet from last one year.
Medical Superintendent DH Poonch, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali said that first ever Laparoscopic surgery of Achlasia Cardia patient was performed here and hospital administration is trying to manage several other major surgeries here in future.
