KISHTWAR, Dec 4: Member Legislative Council (MLC) of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Firdous Tak said that the reformative and welfare measures initiated by the Government in economic, developmental and social welfare sectors were self explanatory about the intentions and functioning of the present dispensation.
He said this while addressing party workers here today. Prominent contractor Roshan Lal, Sanjeep Kumar, Mandeep Kumar, Pardeep Kumar, Billal Sheikh and Wahid Hussain were also present.
He said advancing budget session for the month of January will instill new life in the functioning of Government and administration, adding that the Government has taken this historic measure to ensure overall development on the ground. “The timely formulation of plans, planning and execution within the otherwise limited working season will bring much required administrative and economic reforms on ground”, he maintained.
He added that the legislature will be in session at Jammu in peak winter season, while autumn session will be held in peak summer season. This will help in resolving issues of common masses, which they face during the peak winter and summer seasons, he said.
The Legislator said that various welfare measures including Aasra, Ladli Beti, Marriage Assistance, Hunner were the historical steps which only a Government led by a visionary leader like Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed can take.
He stated that implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) was another big decision taken by the State Government which is going to benefit the population of the State.
District President, Sheikh Nasir urged the party workers to work with dedication and ensure the victory of the PDP candidates in the forth coming Panchayat and Municipal elections.
District President Youth Kishtwar, Wasil Doolwal, General Secretary PDP Kishtwar, Ishtiyaq Hussain Waza, Jaffer Babzada, Sajad Dev, Captain Ashraf Kitchloo, Munwar Butt, Mudassir Ahanger, Altaf Sheikh , Mohammad Iqbal Beigh, Arshad Giri, Abdul Majid Dar, Saifu Din Sheikh, Haji Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh, besides many others attended the meeting.
