JAMMU, Aug 3: Alleging that there is acute shortage of AYUSH doctors and dental surgeons in the hospitals, National Awami United Party (NAUP) has demanded the J&K Government to advertise all such vacant posts.
Addressing a press conference, Sandeep Singh, National president of the party, told the J&K administration not to play with the future of AYUSH and dental doctors. He said recently, J&K Public Service Commission issued a notification and advertise around 900 posts of Medical officers (MBBS) but did not advertise a single post for AYUSH doctors and dental surgeons.
“Several posts of AYUSH doctors and dental surgeons are lying vacant in different hospitals, PHCs, Medical Colleges etc for last several years but administration is not advertising these posts and doing discrimination with AYUSH doctors and dental surgeons,” Singh said and appealed the Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu to advertise posts of AYUSH doctors and dental surgeons and strengthen the peripheral health structure where doctors are rarely available.
