BANDIPORA, Sept 30: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today paid a visit to new complex of District Hospital (DH) here and inspected the ongoing works there.
The Advisor was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed, CMO Bandipora and other senior officers of the department during the visit.
The new complex of the hospital is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 28.25 crore and the execution work is being carried out by JK Housing Board.
During the visit, Advisor Bhatnagar took a detailed round of the hospital complex and inspected all the infrastructural works going on there besides other allied infrastructure.
The Advisor was informed that the finishing works are going on and are at the last stage of completion and the hospital will be soon dedicated to the general public for service delivery.
Advisor Bhatnagar directed the concerned executing agency to expedite the pace of ongoing works so that the hospital can be utilised for the medical services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Advisor further impressed upon the officials to start medical facilities at the hospital within a week’s time so that best possible medical treatment is provided to general public in view of COVID-19. He asked the officials to provide all possible facilities to the patients there and stressed upon the officials to create patient friendly atmosphere in the hospital so that every patient coming to the hospital should be given best possible medical treatment.
